John H. Byrne, PhD, is the June and Virgil Waggoner Chair and Chairman of the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He also serves as director of the Neuroscience Research Center at UTHealth. He holds positions as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas in Austin and in the departments of Psychology and Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University.
