Arkansas Association of Food Protection’s Annual Conference
In September, I attended the Arkansas Association of Food Protection’s (AAFP) annual conference on behalf of Elsevier. The AAFP annual conference, a premier food safety conference was held in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
This is the second year where I managed a booth at the conference, however this year, was especially distinctive as I presented book awards to the winners of the student poster competition.
The book awarded was the recently published book, Food Safety: Emerging Issues, Technologies and Systems, edited by Steven Ricke, Janet Donaldson and Carol Phillips. Dr. Ricke is renowned in this field and is also past president of the association. On a special note, the Executive Board and Membership of IAFP chose the Arkansas Association for Food Protection (AAFP) to receive the 2015 Best Affiliate Overall Meeting Award.
