Insights from the International Society For Stem Cell Research 2016
The beautiful city of San Francisco hosted over 4,000 scientists for the ISSCR conference, the largest gathering of individuals in stem cell research and regenerative medicine, this year.
The Elsevier/Cell Press booth was filled by eager attendees browsing both books and journals at their leisure. We all engaged with the delegates, had informative conversations, held a book-a-day giveaway and several “meet the editor” sessions.
Additionally, several of our esteemed authors stopped by booth to see their work in print!
Regina Coeli dos Santos Goldenberg – Resident Stem Cells and Regenerative Therapy categorizes and helps decipher recent publications that highligh various applications of resident stem cells in regenerative therapies.

Hye Yong is currently researching neuro degenerative disease, working with IPS. She selected Regenerative Medicine Applications in Organ Transplantation, edited by Giuseppe Orlando.
Denise Pedrosa visited the booth every day and browsed the book. Her selection was Stem Cell and Gene Therapy for Cardiovascular Disease edited by Emerson Perin, Leslie Miller, Doris Taylor and James Willerson
